The Christian Public Servant – “according to His time and purpose”

January 13, 2016 – Wednesday

Reading
Matthew 21:22 (NASB) And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.

Reflection
Prayer is a unique process. We pray and God answers according to His time and purposenot mine or yours. Whatever the prayer, His intent is on furthering our relationship with Him and others. Hence, the answer to all prayer is always grounded in His faithful love and wisdom.

At work today, do not neglect prayer. It is a managerial tool so quickly abandoned.

But remember, the answers are always on God’s terms –requiring your faith in Him. Pray for God’s purpose to be revealed to all those who struggle at work. Pray for opportunities to encourage others to find His purpose in their lives.

So stand firm in prayer today. It is a managerial tool that must not be abandoned. God does and will answer you!

Just remember, the answer will be revealed according to His time and purpose. And that’s how it should be – even at work!

Prayer
Lord, never let me abandon prayer with You – especially at work. Through all my tasks and assignments, let me talk with You. Through all my challenges, let me listen to You. Through all my prayers, let me seek what You need, not want I want. In Your name, I pray. Amen.
