The Christian Public Servant – “please don’t be too busy”

February 19, 2016 – Friday

Reading
Psalm 65:8 (NLT) Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy.

Reflection
Yesterday when I worked the hall, a brother and I watched God’s wonder outside. As the sun went down, the sky turned orange and blue. So beautiful! We stared into His miracle, and whispered how we never noticed such blessings when we were free. We were just too busy to be blessed by Him in those days. We cared too much for ourselves to notice God.

This morning, as you go to work, notice the sunrise and praise God for it. Tonight, when you leave from work, search the sky for the colors that mark the end of day – and praise God!

Today, please don’t be too busy to be blessed by Him. No, please don’t be too busy.

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray. When I was a free man, I was imprisoned with the chains of me. Now that I am no longer a free man, you have broken me from my chains. Thank You, Father, for each day You give me. Whether I can see them or not, I am blessed knowing You control the sun rise and the sun set. Never again will I be too busy for You. Amen.
