The Christian Public Servant – “something deeper than religion”

love of Christ3

September 1, 2017 – Friday

Reading
Galatians 5:6 [MSG] For in Christ, neither our most conscientious religion nor disregard of religion amounts to anything. What matters is something far more interior: faith expressed in love.

Reflection
As a Christian public servant, all I have is faith. Faith in Jesus. Faith in His love. Faith in His protection. Yes, here on Life Row, faith is all I really have.

Are you any different? In your life and in your workplace, is there anything more you really have than faith in Jesus? I don’t think so.

Yet as Christian public servants, it is our job to use our faith to express love to those around us. It is difficult to do this where I am, but it is any easier for you to express love to those in your workplace?

Today at work, show others something deeper than religion. It really doesn’t matter if you wear a symbol of Him around your neck or have a bible lying on your desk. Your faith in Jesus is not based on what happens today. Circumstances or feelings do not matter. What does matters is something far deeper inside you – the love of your Heavenly Father within you.

Go to work today with an attitude of love based on your faith. Express that love to everyone. Show them something deeper than religion. Show them Christ.

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray. Continue to increase my faith in You so I can express to others that love you put inside of me. Amen.
