Reading
Psalm 119:133-134 [ESV] Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me. Redeem me from man’s oppression, that I may keep your precepts.

Reflection
Sadly, most workplaces do not represent the moral standards of God. Profit so easily gets in the way, and politics often blocks the way. Then there are the contradictory challenges of productivity, equity, and compassion. Oh, there are many reasons why too many workdays end without application of God’s moral standards.

You know the Bible is the moral guide for your workplace – a setting that seems to oppress godly behavior and Christian thought at every turn. That is why you must deliberately apply the Word in all situations and every decision, seasoned with God’s grace.

Today at work, do not exchange God’s standards for job values for the day is way too short. Instead, stand strong in demonstrating God’s truth. Lead by God’s Word and His Spirit.

Yes, at work today, keep steady your steps and do not exchange God’s standards for job values. He promises, no inequity will gain dominion over you!

Prayer
Lord, I pray for Your protection and Your encouragement as I await the fulfillment of Your promise. Let me find ways to apply Your moral standard in my workplace. Keep steady my steps. In Your name, I pray. Amen.
