The Christian Public Servant – “a little overboard”

Kind2

October 13, 2017 – Friday

Reading
Matthew 25:40 And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

Reflection
Birthdays are very special to us all, and some people go a little overboard.

Last week I heard it was the birthday of a brother down the row. So, I went to his cell and sang “Happy Birthday.” Perhaps a little overboard, but I did it for Christ! And this brother’s smile blessed me tremendously.

Every day at work, there is probably an overlooked coworker who needs something to smile about. Well, be a little overboard and show the love of Christ. Show the fun of Christ. Show Christ. Just do it for Christ, whatever “it” is: a big hug, a big smile, a “Happy Birthday” song, even a hand to help.

Today at work, go a little overboard, and do it for Christ!

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray. Please continue to open my heart and eyes so I can show Your love, Your fun – You. Amen.
