Genesis 1:1 [NKJV] In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Deuteronomy 23:5(b) [NKJV] but the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you.
Sometimes I need to check my attitude because it is not like Christ would have me be. A bad attitude is contagious and can lead to bad things at work. When bad things happen to me, I scream “why?” at God. It is so easy to forget what God, my Father, does for me all day long to turn the bad into the good for me because He is with me. He does this because He loves me just like He loves you. Do you realize that God loves you enough that He is with you 24/7? It is easy to forget, very easy. God loves you like any good father who loves his children and wants to be with them, training and steering them to a bright future.
Take a moment and really think about this right now…God loves you! Seriously, really think about it. The God who spoke the Universe into existence loves you. You are important to Him. He wants to know you personally each and every day. He wants you to take time for Him – even at work. Think about how much God would appreciate it if you invited Him into your workday – like a child would invite a loving parent into a play day? He is already there but it is always nice to be personally asked.
I have a challenge for you. Wake up saying “Good morning God! Would You like to hang out with me today?” At noon, say “God would You like to join me for lunch?” And at the close of day, say “Good night, God. Thanks for being with me today. Want to do it again tomorrow?”
See what happens to your attitude when things go bad but you have purposely invited God to be with you today. See if your coworkers notice a change in you because you are inviting God to be with you in your workplace just because He loves you and you love Him. What will people think when they see that God loves you!
Lord, I invite You to join me in my day. Help me be conscious of Your presence each day as I walk with You in my work. Let my attitude reflect the God that is standing next to me because You love me and I love You. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
