1 Corinthians 4:20 [NLT] For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.
Reflection
A couple of days ago, I responded to a situation where I saw the old me, not the me-in-Christ. It scared me. I saw myself not living by God’s power. So, I repented to Jesus and to that brother.
Time after time, scripture reminds you and me that His kingdom is not just a lot of talk. It is building His Kingdom by living by His power. When we live by God’s power, we do not respond in anger toward others. We love them and embrace their short-comings – just like Jesus does for you and me.
Today, no matter what happens at work, live by God’s power. Watch your coworkers see your true power: love. His love. And they will discover His Kingdom is not just a lot of talk!
Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray. Thank You for reminding me that Your love and Kingdom are not just a lot of talk. You show me this by continually showering me with mercy and grace – especially when I lose focus and stop living by Your power. Thank you, Father. Amen.
