1 Corinthians 8:1(b) [NKJV] Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.
When I first meet anyone Jesus sends across my path, I meet them where they are in life. This includes those who go to church and love Jesus, as well as those who have no relationship with Jesus. Whoever they are, and wherever they are in life, His flowing love allows me to win them over – in His time.
The people you encounter in your work are not different than those I encounter in mine. They will not all be the same. But love wins all – even the most unlovable, disagreeable person you meet today. Why? Because scripture reminds us to communicate with others, not out of knowledge, but out of love.
Today at work, meet that coworker where she is in her life. Greet that person you serve on his level. Do not try to persuade using only your knowledge, experience, or expertise. Instead, let love educate. If you do this today, He will show you that love wins all.
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray. Thank You for all the knowledge You give me. And thank You for making me realize that it is Your love that helps me most. Amen.
